Whitetails Unlimited has once again sponsored The Wildlife Society’s Annual Conference which is being held in Cleveland, Ohio. This is the conference’s 25th year which draws biologists and conservation minded individuals from all over North America. The conference gives these individuals a chance to attend nearly 1,000 educational presentations as well as network with other attendees.
Founded in 1937, the organization’s mission is, “To inspire, empower, and enable wildlife professionals to sustain wildlife populations and habitats through science-based management and conservation.” The Wildlife Society enhances their member’s networking and learning opportunities, professional and career development, and provides numerous ways for them to get more involved in creating a better future for not only the white-tailed deer, but other wildlife and their habitats. Their membership is nearly 10,000 individuals.
“The Wildlife Society’s mission aligns perfectly with our H.O.P.E. for Wildlife Program,” says Whitetails Unlimited Program Services Director Russ Austad. “It’s been a real pleasure supporting their wildlife and habitat efforts all these years.”
