The Cornell Lab of Ornithology's Merlin Bird ID app just added another much-requested feature: custom lists of likely birds for any location and date, powered by eBird sightings. From the start screen, tap Explore Birds and then the filter icon in the top right of the screen.
Use Likely Birds to find your next birding obsession, explore a new area, or plan your Global Big Day. The app also helps you ID birds you've seen and can identify many bird photos. It's a free app for iOS and Android. Download Merlin now.
