Kirtland's Warbler Migration Blitz Participants Sought

The Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center is seeking skilled participants in Ohio, Georgia and Florida for the forthcoming Kirtland's Warbler Migration Blitz.

Studies suggest 40 percent of mortality for this species occurs during migration. We need to gather information about stopover behavior and the habitat these birds use as they make their way back from the Bahamas to their usual breeding grounds in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ontario. Please help to spread the word by asking birders to enter their observations online at eBird.org.

This research is being conducted by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center.
