Grantsburg, WI – Join the WDNR Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm for a hands on Owl Workshop at Crex Meadows Wildlife Area (WA). WDNR Wildlife Technician, Christian Cold, will conduct a six hour workshop on owls of Wisconsin. Participants will receive instruction on the natural history, identification, distribution, habitats and habits of the twelve species of owls that occur in the Great Lakes Region. Lab sessions will include owl pellet analysis and owl anatomy and physiology investigation. Mr. Cold will have an assortment of live native owls with him for (up-close) viewing and discussion.
Bring a bag lunch. Pre-registration required. Space limited to 20 adults.
