Canadian birders came through with a White-tailed Kite sighting at Long Point Provincial Park in southern Ontario that created a First Provincial Record!
|
Birders were active last week, documenting a First Provincial Record White-tailed Kite in Ontario, a Second State Record Crested Caracara in Montana, and a Ninth State Record Piratic Flycatcher in Houston, Texas. Exciting for many birders to witness is the White-cheeked Pintail in southern Florida, along with a European Golden Plover in Quebec, and a Ruff in Maine. Texas birders found more exciting birds outside their normal range, including a Mangrove Cuckoo, a Nutting’s Flycatcher, and another Roadside Hawk – and there’s more.
