HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

With red and green being prime holiday colors, we thought these Red-faced Parakeets would be appropriate illustrations. They were a few of the individuals in a small flock feeding in juniper trees, photographed by our editor, Paul Konrad, in San Diego, California.

Enjoy a Wonderful Holiday Season and Best Wishes for the New Year – 2025! We especially hope you enjoy this issue as our staff begins our annual holiday break. We look forward to bringing you a new issue of The Birding Wire the morning of Wednesday January 8th, when new weekly issues resume filled with information about birds and birding from across the United States, Canada, and beyond. As always, you will receive a collection of insightful stories from the field and backyard, how-to information, birding news and events, products, and inspiration for you to get the most out of all your favorite birding activities.

Over the holiday season, please consider sharing The Birding Wire with others who would enjoy the information and illustrations we share with you and our tens of thousands of readers each week. It’s Free, just click on the word “Subscribe” at the top of any issue, or on the homepage of our website at Birding Wire We only ask for a name, email, and zip code, and that basic information is never shared or used aside from sending our e-magazine via an e-mail each week – you know how easy it is and how well the process works.

You can refer to previously published issues during the holiday break, and anytime, by accessing our “Archives” section, which is linked at the top of our website’s homepage or any issue of The Birding Wire. In the meantime, Thanks for your readership, interest, and encouragement throughout the year, year after year! As we all enjoy the holidays in our own ways, we hope you enjoy all your birding activities in the field and in your yard, and watch for the next issue of The Birding Wire to appear in your email Inbox the morning of January 8th. Happy New Year 2025!
