Student Bird Art Contest

The Cerulean Warbler is 1 of the 5 species selected for the 2024 Songbird Art Contest, hosted by Wildlife Forever and supported by the US Forest Service.

The 2024 Songbird Art Contest is calling for young artists to show the beauty and wonder of birds through their art. Open to students ranging from kindergarten through grade 12, this year’s contest offers a unique opportunity to spotlight 5 of North America’s most captivating species: the American Goldfinch, Scarlet Tanager, Cerulean Warbler, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, and Brown-headed Nuthatch. To participate, students can choose 1 of the 5 species listed above, learn about it, and create a unique, hand-created art piece featuring the bird.

In addition, students in 4th grade and above also produce a short creative writing story about the species they selected that includes its conservation requirements. The deadline for young bird artists to submit their art and writing is November 30. The contest is Free to enter and open to students worldwide. For submission guidelines and to review more information about the 5 featured species, see Songbird Art Contest — Art of Conservation (theartofconservation.org)
