The William Brewster Memorial Award, bestowed each year by the American Ornithologists' Union (AOU) to the author or co-authors of an exceptional body of work on the birds of the Western Hemisphere, has been given to Dr. Patricia Parker of the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and the Saint Louis Zoo.

Audubon Texas and the Terry Hershey Award Program Steering Committee are seeking nominations of women conservationists who have shown leadership, innovation and passion for the landscapes and wildlife of the Lone Star State.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department's television show, Arizona Wildlife Views was awarded three Emmy® Awards by the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) on Oct. 19.

Sponsored by the National Wildlife Refuge Association, the annual National Wildlife Refuge System Awards honor outstanding accomplishments by refuge managers, refuge employees, volunteers and Friends groups.

The National Wildlife Refuge Association and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation have announced the honorees for the prestigious annual National Wildlife Refuge System Awards. The annual awards honor the Refuge Manager, Refuge Employee, Refuge Volunteer and Friends Group of the Year.

In ceremonies held in New York on Jan. 17, George Archibald, founder of the International Crane Foundation, received the first Lufkin Prize and its $100,000 award from the National Audubon Society.
